These are the terms on which the product is supplied.

Notice 11.2, TermsLast true on

The product is not open. Nothing is on sale today and no account can be created today, so these terms bind from the day it opens rather than from the day they were written.

What is supplied

The product supplies facts, the attribution for each fact, and a link to the document the fact came from. How each of those is checked before it is written is set out in the editorial standards.

It does not supply advice. Nothing in a brief, an item, an answer or a recap is legal, financial, medical or professional advice, and nothing in it is an instruction to act. A reader who acts on a fact acts on their own judgement, and the document is one tap away so that judgement can be made on the record rather than on our summary of it.

What is never done on a user's behalf

The product never submits anything to anybody on a user's behalf. There is no auto-submission, no stored portal credential and no filing integration with any authority, council or regulator.

Where an item carries a pre-drafted action, that draft is text on a screen. The user reads it, edits it if they want to, and sends it themselves, from their own address, to the body that receives it.

A pre-drafted action is a draft, and it is never sent for you.

There is no credential store and no submission endpoint in the system, so there is no mechanism by which it could be sent for you.

What money does not buy

No payment, subscription, licence, partnership or advertising relationship changes an item, changes its order in a brief, or changes whether it appears at all. A buyer of any product here cannot suppress, alter or delay an item about themselves, and a licensee carries the attribution and the correction.

No commercial relationship changes an item, its order or its availability.

Selection may read an item and may never write one, it takes no commercial input, and it contains no model call at all.

Acceptable use

  • An account belongs to one person. A shared sign-in is not an account.
  • Quoting an item is fine, and carrying its attribution with the quote is the condition.
  • Bulk copying of the product's output, and automated collection of it outside a licence, are not permitted.
  • Reselling the output without a licence is not permitted.
  • Using the product to pursue a person named in an item ends the account.
  • Attempting to reach another account's data, to interfere with delivery, or to work around a rate limit ends the account.

An account ended under this section can be exported and deleted in the ordinary way, on the terms in the privacy notice.

Liability and governing law

The product is supplied as it is. Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not permit to be limited.

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them. NewsEnough is a product of Avanti Mind Ltd, registered in England and Wales, and correspondence about these terms goes to hello@newsenough.com.
